How the math works
Each month the calculator runs:
- Subscribers grow by the monthly growth rate (compounded). Negative rates mean churn outpaces signup.
- Subscription revenue = subscribers × monthly subscription price.
- PPV revenue = subscribers × your "PPV per sub" input.
- Tip revenue = subscribers × your "tip per sub" input.
- Gross = subscription + PPV + tips.
- Net (creator payout) = gross × 0.80 (OnlyFans's flat 80/20 split).
- After-tax estimate = net × (1 − tax rate). Adjust the slider to your jurisdiction.
Real-world results vary. PPV and tip revenue are often lumpy month-to-month. Subscriber growth almost never compounds smoothly — there are slow months and viral months. This calculator gives you a directional projection, not a guarantee.
Benchmarks for input fields
| Field | New creator | Mid-tier | Top creator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription price | $5-$10 | $10-$20 | $20-$50+ |
| Monthly growth rate | 15-30% | 5-15% | 2-8% |
| PPV / sub / month | $0-$5 | $5-$15 | $15-$50 |
| Tips / sub / month | $0-$2 | $2-$8 | $8-$30 |
Important caveats
- Smooth growth is unrealistic. 10%/month for 12 months means 3.1× total growth. Real creator growth is much spikier.
- The 80% creator share doesn't include processing fees. Real take-home is usually 65-72% of gross for US creators.
- Tax estimates are very rough. Self-employment + state + federal can land anywhere from 20% to 45% depending on jurisdiction and deductions.
- This calculator runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent anywhere — refresh the page and your inputs are gone.
